FROM BATON ROUGE, take I-10 east to New Orleans. After you pass LaPlace, take I-310 south to Boutte/Houma. You will cross the Luling Bridge and continue south on I-310 until you reach the end, at which you should exit right to Highway 90 West toward Houma.
Continue on Highway 90 West toward Houma for approximately 19 miles. Then, exit Highway 308 (Exit 215B), taking a left to go south toward Grand Isle. Travel on Highway 308, passing through the towns of Mathews, Lockport (LANDMARK: Bollinger Shipyards), and Larose before approaching the Intracoastal Canal Overpass. When you descend from the overpass, take a left at the intersection to continue south on Highway 308 toward Grand Isle. As you travel down Highway 308 south of the Intracoastal Canal, you will pass three bridges: one draw bridge (LANDMARK: McDonald’s on LA 1), a pontoon bridge (LANDMARK: Church on LA 1), and another draw bridge (LANDMARK: Shopping Center w/ Burger King, Stage, etc.). After the traffic light at this third bridge, the Port Commission Office is the fourth building on the left. There is a Greater Lafourche Port Commission sign in front of the building.
