Seaport Maintenance specialist
The Greater Lafourche Port Commission is seeking a Seaport Maintenance Specialist.
Job Duties: Include, but are not limited to, operating heavy equipment such as large tractors, excavators, ZTR lawn mowers, backhoes, road graders, bulldozers, front-end loaders, and more. Duties also include performing maintenance and some repairs on this equipment. Manual labor tasks include trash pickup, painting, wharf repairs, welding, carpentry, electrical work, and plumbing.
Preferred skills: knowledge of general carpentry and repairs, problems solving ability, self-motivated, strong attention to detail, experience operating heavy equipment.

summer EMPLOYMENT
The Greater Lafourche Port Commission is accepting applications for six summer roustabout positions and two clerical positions. To be eligible, applicants must be currently enrolled college students and must complete an official job application. Roustabout applicants must be able to perform physical labor.
All applicants must pass a drug test and physical exam, and must provide proof of college enrollment. Applications are due by Friday, May 8, 2026, during regular office hours at 16829 East Main Street, Cut Off, LA.
Qualified applicants will be selected by random drawing, with preference given to residents of the 10th Ward Lafourche Parish.
